Michel, a retired maths teacher, has lived alone since the death of his wife and spends his days writing an essay on the beliefs that shape everyday life. One day, he takes in Dora, a young homeless woman he finds injured on his doorstep, and takes her in while she recovers. Her presence brings a little freshness into Michel's life, but little by little, the flat becomes the scene of mysterious phenomena.
