Born in Burkina Faso in 1980, Souleimane Barry lives and works between Burkina and France. He expresses in his own way the beauty of a world that is dear to him, as well as the joys of a drifting humanity, revealing the secret aspirations of individuals, the dreams of elsewhere and the possibility of a different life. The artist multiplies the supports, uses the collages and the more sustained colors, integrates matter in his paintings to give them relief and texture. He invites us to share his vision of a twilight world, a reflection on migration as well as a series of anonymous portraits to whom he gives history and dignity. In his painting, the real disappears to leave room for the imagination and spontaneity.
