Gilles Porte went to pay tribute to all those who helped make this film possible, not only in the north of France but also in Belgium and Paris. He did so in the form of a statuette: one of the two César awards won in 2005 for Quand la mer monte..., co-directed with Yolande Moreau. Like a witness passed from hand to hand.
