In an isolated country house in the South of France, musician Mikaël is composing a psalm. A young woman, Linda, comes to pick up a suitcase belonging to Sébastien, Mikaël's friend and companion. It contains hundreds of photos. Sébastien is away on a trip and has asked Linda to organize the photos for an exhibition. Mikaël invites Linda to stay with him. She accepts and sets to work, guided by the texts left by her friend and the cassette letters he sends her from afar. Possible “messages” emerge from the intertwining of words, endlessly replayed, and photos, shuffled, lined up and juxtaposed by Linda. The walls are lined with series - the Happiness wall, the Misery wall - the struggle between Good and Evil. A subtle relationship develops between Linda, the young beginner, and Mikaël, the experienced man. When Mikaël leaves to conduct his psalm, Linda is left alone... with the wisdom that Sébastien has imparted to her by stepping aside.
