Sabine Weiss is one of the great humanist photographers. Independent, she worked just like Robert Doisneau, Izis and Ronis for the Rapho agency. She is one of the only French women photographers who, in the 1950s, succeeded in to live from her profession and her art. Today, she continues to work, adapting to the evolution of new technologies. No nostalgia in her work, she is the witness of her time as she has always been for over sixty years. The film follows a chronological path, presenting the work of this tightrope artist oscillating between glossy paper and “poetics of commitment”.
